Here is a brief description of the places with which I had been associated with my birth, growth, education and career.

Amalapuram - A visitor's paradise  is a town in East Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the headquarters of Godavari delta named Konaseema, the triangle formed by the Holy waters of Godavari River. Amalapuram is blessed with lush fields, coconut groves, green palms and is criss - crossed by small canals with adjoining places of tourist interest such as Vigneswara temple at Ainavilli, Allavaram beach and Aduru a Buddhist site. This is all a treat to nature lovers. Sir Arthur Cotton (The Architect of Godavari Barrage), Sri Kala Venkata Rao (former Minister) and Sri GMC Balayogi (former Lok Sabha Speaker) were the popular personalities from this land. This town is known for its Vedic culture and its development.More info about Amalapuram at  http://eastgodavari.nic.in/Amalapuram.html  or in Telugu Language at  http://www.amalapuram.com/

Vijayawada -  Hub of educational & cultural activities  is in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. The literal translation of the word Vijayawada is "The Place of Victory" which is also known as Bezawada. It is the third largest city in the State of Andhra Pradesh and is located on the banks of the Krishna River to the south, bounded by the Indrakeeladri Hills on the west where the Godess Kanakadurga Temple is located on hill top. The fertile Krishna delta extends from Vijayawada towards Bay of Bengal to the east. There are plenty of canals that go through Vijayawada city and number of Rail & Road bridges are seen across these canals and Krishna River. This facinates the visitors who admire that Vijayawada resembles Northern Italy's VENICE -the world famous city for its canals.  Vijayawada is the biggest Railway junction of the South Central Railway with A-1 status given by the Central Government. Vijayawada is commercial, political and cultural centre of Andhra Pradesh. It has to its credit numerous Print & Electronic Media in addition to one of the oldest Broadcasting Studios of All India Radio, the FM radio channels AIR Rainbow Krishnaveni , Radio Mirchi and SFM. Vijayawada, also called as "Vidyalawada" (Place of Education) as it occupies a prominent place in the educational map of Andhra Pradesh with the presence of  NTR University of Health Sciences and a host of prominent Educational Institutions. Vijayawada is one of the earliest publishing centers in Andhra Pradesh with and accounts to about 90 % of the total volume of books in the state being printed or published.
